My trip to the 561 did not turn out quite as expected as I did not get to visit many of my usual haunts - instead I spent lots of time with family and then promptly came down with the flu! I'm feeling better now after a few days in bed sipping tea and broth and sleeping it off. Thanks to all my friends on twitter who tweeted me their little remedies and tricks - mixing cranberry juice with ginger ale, the Neti Pot (have you guys heard of these things? They are amazing!), the magic that are 800 mg ibuprofen, even great book recommendations! Even my current clients were super understanding and kind and understood the mini delay. I cannot thank everyone enough - what a great little community we have.
I do have one great new discovery to share with you. A bit ago, the truly kind and talented (really, I look up to her so much) Amy Lagae of Avenue PR (check out her great profile on All the Best) sent over a note about her friend, southern belle and clothing designer Jules Reid. I saw the shots of her clothes and flipped out - Jules's stuff epitomizes resort chic.
Jules draws inspiration from her travels, namely the textiles of India, where she spent much of her childhood.

The line is new and is being shopped around to boutiques worldwide - Jules showed in New York, Paris, and Los Angeles this season. Her background in interior design lends to her love of prints, which she creates from scratch in the garment district of New York City. Jules' line will be available in February - in the meantime you can find her online at JulesReid.com. Seriously, do y'all not die for this line? I would wear that tunic in a heartbeat, and the yellow maxi I could live in. I am lusting for one of her pieces in my closet - which ones make your heart skip a beat?
