I keep telling myself the warmth is on it's way. Like a mantra I'm chanting it. That's the thing about Southern heat though - once it arrives, it increases it's brutality exponentially every month, and as the temperatures climb, by the time the first bite of fall breezes in, you're positively starving for the cooler weather. It's a funny cycle, really, because the same goes for these trying months after the holidays where it's just cold, gray, and wet. By the end of February, pretty much everyone is pale, in a shit mood and ready for some sunshine. So while I can't force the temperatures to rise today, I can whistle Dixie and warm up my spirit to the idea of the rays of Vitamin D so soon to come. Here's a Georgia-tinged #LOVENOTES playlist anchored in strings and soul that hearkens blooms piercing the earth, cold cocktails, and those murky clouds finally giving way to blue skies.

I am personally enjoying the colder spring. Sometimes we don't get a spring at all, but one day its not cold anymore and its muggy instead and then blamo. Hot. Eww. I hope that the cold helps kill the "time of the worms" that happens just as flowers begin to bloom and they descend on those gross silk threads and eat everything in sight. Just say'n.

after moving up north from the south, i tend to forget about the escalating heat that sets in so quickly. right now we still have snow on the ground and doesn't feel much like spring at all!
