"Look at this stuff, isn't it neat? Wouldn't you say my collection's complete?" I was crazy flattered this holiday season when I was asked to curate a selection of my favorite gifts by Taigan, an online marketplace for the extraordinary. If you're not familiar, Taigan houses, under one proverbial roof, an enviable harem of independently-owned shops (many of them in the South) who all have one thing in common: exquisite taste. Just released today is their holiday catalog, where I was so flattered to be designated a tastemaker. Equally as exquisite: the roster of fellow bloggers!

The gang at Taigan asked me to hand-pick my favorite items "for the collector" - and it got me thinking about what I myself collect (I've got gadgets and gizmos aplenty...) After living in and visiting Palm Beach for years, I've gained quite the affinity for estate jewelry, and there is no lovelier life-size jewelry box than the island's very own House of Lavande. The baubles chosen there were a no-brainer (I've got whose-its and whats-its galore...) But what else do I pluck up in groups? That one stumped me for a minute, save a quick glance around my house. Turns out, I've absconded with more of this stuff than I care to share: barware (you want thingamabobs? I've got twenty!) I love a Mint Julep cup and grab them whenever I happen across one for pencils, flowers and yes... even Mint Juleps, but lots of other great items were rounded up; decanters, jiggers, and a really dead chic champagne bucket

earrings // map // jigger and shaker // paperweight

Next up was a habit I picked up from an old boyfriend: an affinity for vintage maps - I love the ones we featured in the catalog, in particular the one of the East Coast. It's my homeland, after all. Last but not least? What lady doesn't hoard stationery? Glass paperweights are the perfect thing for the girl who has... everything.

Shop the full catalog, beautifully styled by PJ Mehaffey and shot by Emily Johnston Anderson, below. Dive in for not just my picks, but also selections from the great company I'm in, including Mrs. Lilien, Into the Gloss, and Coco + Kelly. I guarantee you'll find the gift you've been looking for within these pages. You can click it to expand to full-screen.

P.S. If you didn't understand the song lyrics in italics, I'm sorry that your parents robbed you of a childhood. You somehow missed viewing The Little Mermaid infinity times on VHS - so screw gift shopping, get thee to ebay!
