1. Haute Hippie gets big snaps for throwing a great FNO party. After fighting through the teeming masses, Lauren and I safely made our way into Rose Bar, where I was beyond excited that Theophilus London was throwing down for an intimate crowd. 2. RewardStyle gets party snaps too -- Van, Lauren, and I (here we are crammed in a photo booth with our friend Fred) met up at Pastis for cocktails before walking over to the Dream Hotel, where a great gathering took place - I got to meet and reunite with tons of blogging pals. 3. The first look Marc Jacobs sent down the runway was a white t-shirt with black panties and I immediately recalled my earlier post referencing my lack of enthusiasm for pants. Marc, you get me. 4. Phillip Lim wins my favorite look of fashion week. I don't know why I am so obsessed with the novelty of these hot pink overalls, because I'd never actually wear them... I don't think. Maybe it's the 90's kid in me; the little fifth grader that wore Gap overalls and a white t-shirt until my Mom somehow convinced me other clothes existed. I don't know. It just made me want to play POGs. 5. The Grey Lady was described by my friends at Town & Country as "downtown Dorrians." Already a Nantucket outpost, I was excited to see the LES incarnation. It didn't disappoint. We sipped gin drinks and I reunited with old friends and made a few new ones... it turned into one of those epic evenings that won't be fading anytime soon. I'm calling it a perfect storm. 6. Remember that gothic, wine-stained burgundy lip you swore you'd never rock again after your 18th viewing of The Crow? Just me? Anyway, it's back in a big way. If you're going to commit, I suggest doing it full-on with NARS, who can always be trusted when it comes to lipstick. If this is any indication, Neve Campell's becoming relevant again in 3...2...7. Veronica Beard's premiere presentation was everything a debut should be - elegant, buzzworthy, just the right guest list, and absolutely teeming with beautiful clothes. It reminded me why this is my favorite new line to surface in years. 8. In what was possibly the most META moment of my life, I snagged a quick iPhone shot of my Barneys Feature on display in the Barneys New York store -- on the new shoe floor (which is a kickass sight to behold) no less. 9. A little party swag is always welcome. This ASOS laptop case was gifted and has proven surprisingly useful as I've flown straight from NYC down to Palm Beach, where I'm writing from today. It fits my Macbook Air, my chunky Graphic Image day planner, a couple of Le Pens, and even my iPhone, should I feel so inclined. Imagine my shock when I logged onto ASOS to see that it's only like, thirteen bucks!  10. Ryan Lochte. Dude. Was. EVERYWHERE this fashion week. What he has to do with fashion, I'm still confused about, as this is someone I can personally attest was rocking long hair and graphic tees at the Midtown bars in Gainesville not that long ago. #jeah 11. Let's talk leather. I hope you like it, because you'll be swathing your ass in it come fall. Quote me on that. 12. These cute Cambridge Satchels that Chris Benz did were probably my favorite little fashion week detail, save the cool Essie Manicures at Veronica Beard. 13. DVF sent her models (and herself) down the runway in curious little Google Glasses that everyone was questioning... that is, until yesterday. The short documentary that came about is absolutely killer. Pull it up on YouTube and be inspired. 14. Every time I think of fashion week tunes, I think of two things: the first, those cameos that whoever's "so hot right now" makes (see: Frank Ocean at J.Mendel) The second are the beats the models stomp to down the runways. Rudimental's "Feel The Love" is irresistible in that very of-the-moment way.
