Well, would you look at that. The "New York" in our logo has changed to "Atlanta." Why's that? Because as of Wednesday, I'll be seasonal in Palm Beach and a full-time resident of Atlanta, Georgia! Not that I can fully let go of this island lifestyle, but as a born-and-bred Southerner, I just missed the South too much. I'm setting up camp in the Brookhaven / Buckhead area, living and working out of a cute little yellow house. I couldn't be more excited or optimistic about the change of scenery.
I know lots of you guys live in the area, so shout me a holler! I'd love to hear about your favorite restaurants, bars, local haunts, places to shop or sneak off and get coffee, or tips on living in ATL in general... leave a comment below or tweet me @TheLoveList and I'll be sure to respond.
One huge perk of living in the area (for me) is the plethora of amazing live music. In celebration of that, I put together a super-sized weekend playlist for y'all that's comprised of all the best bands coming through Atlanta in the month of March. I'm going to try to make it out to as many of these shows as I can, so be sure to say hi if you see me out and about. I'll be the tall dark-headed broad whose fingernails are glowing in the dark...

@Flashing Lights - a friend took me to Antico on my last visit to Atlanta, you're so right, it was phenomenal
Welcome to Hotlanta! I just moved here 2 months ago, and the city has to have some of the friendliest people ev-ah (ATL speak for ever :) ) My recommendations are as follows:
1. Join Scout Mob ASAP. So legit and great deals!
2. Check out the High Museum - their current exhibit is truly inspiring... Warhol + Pollock
3. Do drinks and a burger at Holeman & Finch (Buckhead)
Dr. Dog is playing at Buckhead Theater tonight. Guess you just missed it.
So excited for you Jess!!!!!!! I LOVE Atlanta and get there more than Palm Beach..so maybe we will meet one of these days. xo
@Caroline -- thanks for the recs! I downloaded ScoutMob and you're right, it's awesome. The High is at the top of my list. I love love art muesums. Great rec! As for Holeman and Finch, I'm having dinner there Friday :)
@trip -- I surely did. But I saw them in Gainesville once and they were only okay, so I'm not losing any sleep over it.
Welcome to ATL! I just recently started following your blog, but it is now a daily read. I can't compare b/c I haven't had a Holeman & Finch burger, but Farm Burger opened a few months ago and I love that place! Also, Basil's (in Buckhead) is sooo good....you have to go!
Welcome to Atlanta!! I've lived here my whole life and I love it - hope you grow to love it just as much!
