Pantone's Color of the Year: Turquoise

We've compiled a few necessary luxuries in honor of Pantone's Color of the Year, turquoise. It's a beautiful color that twists a bit of fantasy with a whole lot of loveliness- think striking Abaco shallows meets that iconic little box tied with a single white ribbon. We've also included a handful of lovely rooms that incorporate this iconic color with effortless elegance!

One of my favorite things to do on a beautiful day back home is take a long bike ride down the beach with my brother. We people-watch tourists on the sidewalks, race down the 17th street causeway, and lolly-gag down Las Olas Boulevard. Throw on a breezy tunic with an eye-catching necklace, grab your water bottle,  and cruise on!

We asked Stella and Dot stylist and style blogger Paloma Contreras, about her favorite turquoise pieces for spring: "There are actually quite a few turquoise Stella and Dot pieces that I love, but if I had to choose just one, I would go with the beautiful Goa Pendant Necklace. It definitely makes a statement, but it isn't overpowering like some necklaces can be. It features genuine turquoise and a yellow quartz drop on a delicate gold chain and is the perfect necklace for Spring and Summer. If you prefer big earrings over necklaces, then you might like the Goa Earrings, which feature the same design."

LOVE this! The Marjorie Skouras chandelier is just breathtaking- and did you notice the subtle stripes on the floor? [Tobi Fairley in House Beautiful]

I've had my eye on these Hunter boots- they are perfect for splashing through April showers! Once you're inside why not curl up with Austen's Emma and an adorable pair of Eyebobs to match?

If you don't have time to paint but want to add a bit of turquoise tranquility to your home, accessorize! I love Martha Stewart's 'Blue Collection' -it has kitchen items ranging from cutting boards and colanders to heavier artillery like blenders and mixers.

Perfect gifts for a friend or just to treat yourself to a little turquoise. An effortless way to add a splash of turquoise to your getup is with a bracelet or pair of earrings. Or sport the color from fingertips to tippy toes- keep an eye out for Essie's 2010 Resort colors in May!

I just got back from Turks and Caicos, and I'm dying to have that nailpolish to help prolong my vacation a bit.
