MMR Interiors is such a bright, cheerful design firm. Based out of New Orleans, designer Melissa Rufty definitely doesn't miss a chance to use color.
Like any good southern girl, I'll monogram anything that sits still long enough! These double beds with stitching to match the headboards are simply perfect. Here, the monogram was the finishing touch this room needed.
I love that in this room bright color and pattern are in place alongside beautiful antiques and pieces from the past. Melissa will tell you that she does not have a trademark style, but that she seeks to bring out the best intentions of her client.
Melissa’s mother Beulah advises that “a room should never look as though everything arrived on the same day.” This room's depth of texture and accessory variety creates a perfect cocktail of eclecticism and polish.
I'm loving these two seating nooks. Bold upholstery, glamorous pillows, and eye-catching walls scream "Hand me a book, and I’ll see you in a few hours!" The only problem here is deciding which chair to curl up in. – Ellen Hill
