I cannot keep this artist a secret! Florida-based Megan Camp is not only my hidden treasure but also my amazing MOM. Her exceptional acrylic dog portraits make it easy to fall in love with her art.
Megan Camp in her studio with her rescued chihuahua Bella
An artist since she was a little girl, Megan's passion for art has followed her throughout life. As an animal foster parent, Megan has a special place in her heart for all animals, especially dogs. Known as 'the dog whisperer' to friends and family, she can make any neighborhood mutt into a lovable lap dog.
"I wanted to combine my two favorite passions, art and dogs" Megan said "... one day my goal is to create a book filled with paintings of all my foster dogs and their individual stories so that they are forever remembered."
I am always amazed by Megan's dog portraits. They capture the distinct characteristics of each individual animal, whether it is the soft and wise look of a golden retriever or the energized expression of a terrier. No dog's personality is ever lost in the strokes. "That to me is my favorite part about painting dogs," Megan said "capturing every dog's individual personality in the painting . Each one is so unique and full of life." - Claire Camp

I would love a painting of Jake.. I love this dog more than I can even put into words. All of my friends and co-workers know about this dog and how much I love him! The problem is, he lives with my parents which is almost 3 hours away. I don't get to see him that often so having a painting of him in my apartment would be a great reminder of what an amazing dog he is!
My sister is an artist and i always call her my best kept secret! In decorating my place, i always try to steal pieces of her work! it's something i wish i had an eye for!
my puppies are my favorite! A sorority here at UF got a house dog and I am SO jealous! they are that piece of home that can't be replaced!

He's not a dog but my family's first cat, Garfield. He died a few years ago of FIV and I would love to gift my parents with a painting of their favorite photo of him chilling in their birdbath.
My boxer, Layla, is the love of my life. I would adore a portrait of her to have long after she's gone.

I'm so impressed with Megan's work! I've been hoping to one day have an original piece of art made of my little Mia. My biggest problem is choosing which photo would be best - there are a lot to pick from here:

It would be just a dream to have Megan paint a portrait of my chihuahua, Bear!
I have been searching for a special piece of chihuahua art to add to my home, but since Bear's coloring & coat are so rare I haven't been able to find anything that represents him.... yet!
Thank you for the giveaway :)
