Oh please. As if the fabulous and funny Mrs. Blandings needs any introduction. Her beautiful home is truly a dream house - warm, inviting, and beautifully tended to. Her blog is written in a hilarious, personable style that details funny tidbits from her personal life mixed in with a keen eye for traditional design. Y'all are going to eat up her affinity for great details - grosgrain trimmed walls, red piping in the office, fabulous ginger jars in the dining room... I'll let her take over from here.
"This is the entry. The wallpaper is a Greff chinoiserie print trimmed with black grosgrain ribbon. All the original light fixtures from the house had been removed, so one of the missions has been to slowly replace them. While I have kept the age and the feel of the home in mind, sometimes, I’ve stepped outside of that and picked something with a bigger impact. This lantern is from Christopher Filley’s, a local antique shop. My ceiling are not that high, @ 8”, so if you are over 6 feet you have to dodge the lantern a bit. My husband thinks it’s crazy, but I love it."
