Blogger's Home Tour Kickoff: A Letter from Jessica

Sometimes, the most inspiring homes are the most accessible ones - ones that you look at not only to ogle and covet, but also ones that move you to tackle a project yourself. Bloggers are undoubtedly some of the world's most approachable people, and by allowing such access to ourselves we sometimes invoke a certain curiosity from our readers.

Bloggers spend a lot of time admiring the work of others, posting beautiful rooms, scouring online shops for standout items, and interviewing multitudes of talented people, all the while training their eye in a way that often resonates in their own homes.

In doing so, many bloggers have unintentionally established themselves as role models in the design world - as more people find their way to our sites, we find our mailboxes filling with product submissions and emails from readers soliciting design advice that we are often happy and flattered to offer.

Because of this, I was inspired to do a series of posts called the Blogger's Home Tour. I want to turn the tables on the people that have so much passion for design that they write about it daily and showcase the way they have chosen to live.

I invited a group of talented Bloggers to participate this year - I encouraged them to share pictures and details about their spaces that will inevitably inspire readers the way other designers have inspired them.

I hope everyone who comes to The Love List over the next few weeks will be inspired by not only the homes but also the people who inhabit them - the fantastic bloggers whose sites we comb through everyday for entertainment, debate, and inspiration. I hope you will find new daily reads, great pictures for your inspiration files, and most importantly, join the conversation in the blogging community, because really - where would we all be without each other?

Posts begin tomorrow! Thanks for reading.
- Jessica
