My grandparents had big tufts of them all over their gardens on 6th Aveune, along with Camelias, Azaleas, Magnolias, Shrimp Flowers, a bay tree, and a blueberry bush that I hurt myself eating off of every summer. Unfortunately for me, the only one of those that can hold up in an arrangement are Hydrangeas – I love them mixed in with roses or Peonies in a low table display. They always remind me of home videos, my grandparents, and the days my sister and I spent playing in the back yard that seemed to stretch on forever. Southern Accents has a great piece here on arranging these beautiful buds.

I too share your love for hydrangeas. I actually bought some this past Monday. I used them in my bouquet along with peonies for my wedding - they were also in my bm's bouquets. Thank you for the link to Souther Accents. We are having a dinner party on Friday and this will definitely give me some ideas for arrangemnets.
ps. I was reading your blog party post (again) and saw that you are an ADPi alum, you may want to check out The Warnock Family. She is also an ADPi alumn. You can find her site on my list of blogs I read. Have a good one! =)
thanks for the tip! I'll definitely stop by and say hello - I'm glad the link was helpful. I plan on doing my wedding bouquets with hydrangeas as well!
I love hydrangeas. They are in my top 3 picks.
